This section contains individual study guides for each of the chapters of Revelation. If you want them compiled all together in one spot there is a book available. God bless your studies and may Jesus reveal himself to you as you study his word.
The Son Of Man – The vision of the Son of Man will be the focus of this message as we begin the book of Revelation. We will take a closer look at the person of Jesus as revealed in the book of Revelation and ask God for His help to reveal His Son to us. There is no weakness in the Jesus of Revelation and we will contrast this between Jesus first and second coming.
Watch & Warn – We will use this life lesson to talk about God’s message to the churches and how He has a warning and a commendation for each of them. We will look at some of the specific instructions and extrapolate them for our own lives and circumstances today. We will also talk about what it looks like to overcome or conquer in this book.
I Know Your Works – In this life lesson we will continue our conversation on God’s message to the churches and look at the similarities and differences of each of them. We will talk about God’s sovereign knowledge about each of us and how He is standing at the door and knocking.
The Throne Of God – In this message we will talk about the throne room of heaven and what that worship looks like and what our worship looks like. We will describe an open door in heaven and how the throne of God is described and explained. Hopefully we can spend extra time in worship this day.
The Lamb That Was Slain – In this message we will continue our theme of worshiping God and the lamb that was slain. We will examine our sin and His eternal worth. We will introduce the seven seals that are part of the scroll and how they are related to Jesus ability to open them.
The Seal Judgments – We will use this message to talk about the seal judgments and what is being communicated through them. We will talk briefly about each of the three groups of judgments and how they relate to one another. This chapter comes immediately after the description of the lamb that was slain. God’s response is not one of ambiguity for killing His Son.
Sealing The Servants – This message will be about those that are saved from tribulation which are described as a great multitude from every nation, tribe, and tongue. We will compare the 144,000 in Revelation 7 with Revelation 14. We will also explore the scene and the response of those who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Silence In Heaven – In this message we will look at the fact that there is a significant silence in heaven. Heaven is described as being full of worship and blessing being communicated toward God and the lamb by the 24 elders, the 4 living creatures, and the multitudes of the nations. Now in a dramatic pause there is silence.
The Trumpet Judgments - This message will be a continuation of the trumpet judgments that are happening in chapters 8 through 11. We will see that there is a pause before the 7th trumpet just as there was a pause before the 7th seal. We will also talk about the woes that are described and the response that should be evident at such events.
No More Delay – In this message we will look at the angel and the little scroll. We will look at what is not written down from the seven thunders and discuss those things that are hidden in the book of Revelation purposely by God. We will discuss what it means that the mystery of God will be fulfilled and what it means that there is no more delay.
The Two Witnesses – In this chapter we finally hear the 7th trumpet and the message that the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ. The destroyers will be destroyed as a result of their response to Christ and their treatment of the two witnesses. We will explore the second woe and its part to play in the message. We will also see the temple in heaven opened and the ark of the covenant.
War In Heaven – In this chapter we will explore the topics of the woman and the dragon and God’s providential protection even in the midst of great tribulation. We will talk about the war in heaven that has already taken place – what happened during that time and then the war that we now experience because of that. Ultimately, we see that salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down.
The Number Of The Beast – In this message we will look at the activity of the dragon and his beasts and the warnings that are provided. We will talk about the response of God’s people in the face of evil namely the endurance and faith of the saints.
A New Song – This chapter is filled with encouragement and hope for the sealed believers and it describes the new song that will come forth before the throne. The chapter also describes the final messages of the three angels before the final reaping of the harvest on the earth.
It Is Finished – This chapter introduces the final group of judgments that are released through the bowls. In this chapter we get to look at a picture of all those who conquered the beast and its image as they sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb.
The Bowl Judgments – In this message we will look at the bowls of wrath that are released on the earth and talk about the final battle between good and evil at Armageddon. We will discuss God’s instructions for us that He is coming like a thief and that blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on and ready.
Babylon The Great – In this message we will talk about what the great prostitute means and its relationship with the beast. We will explore how the beast will turn on the prostitute and ultimately how the Lamb will conquer them both, for He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Those who are with Him are called chosen and faithful.
The Fall Of Babylon – In this message we will talk about the fall of Babylon and possible interpretations of this place. We will look at the consequences for this and how the whole earth is affected by these events. We will talk about how this judgment that is immediate and final comes suddenly and completely.
The Marriage Supper Of The Lamb – The destruction of Babylon is a great distress on the earth but a marvelous celebration in heaven. We will look at the marriage supper of the lamb and look at the analogy of the bride of Christ preparing herself for the return of Christ. We will also look at the rider of the white horse and how Jesus defeats the enemy and that there is a great contrast between the conditions of heaven and earth in this passage.
The Millenium – In this message we will talk about the thousand years that are described and possible interpretations for it. We will highlight Christ’s victory, Satan’s defeat and the final white throne judgment depending on ones inclusion in the book of life.
The New Jerusalem – In this message we will talk about the new heavens and the new earth that arrive after the final defeat of the enemy. This new world also describes the centrality of Jerusalem and its inclusion in the future kingdom.
Jesus Is Coming Soon – In this message we will conclude our study of Revelation and describe the glory of the age that is to come. We will talk about the repeated theme that He says that He is coming soon and regardless of when that is we are supposed to approach it like it could be today.
